Agri-food engineering

Continuing education - Organisation

The agri-food course is separated into 2 cycles (the preparatory cycle and the final cycle) and an end-of-course thesis.

The preparatory cycle

Goals

  • Check the candidates' ability to take on a course in engineering.
  • Enable the candidates to acquire the necessary scientific knowledge to move onto the final cycle.

Ways to take the course: distance learning

  • Course organised by the distance learning department of the Nancy INPL. It includes (over 10 months) courses in mathematics, statistics, chemical thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and general chemistry.
  • Distance learning also done by AgroSup Dijon (mathematics, general physics, general and organic chemistry).

The interns only go to the INPL for their exams: 5 days out of the 10 months of the course.

Other personal work during this period should be around 370 hours' worth.

During the course

Continuous assessment all through the course permits an overview of a given individual's progress, as well as the possibility to offer extra courses in case of difficulty.

A jury decides whether the student moves onto the final cycle.
